Ceramic-Filled Epoxy Putty

This ceramic-filled epoxy putty features a smooth, low-friction surface that rebuilds and protects metal surfaces exposed to wear.

Application Instructions

Surface Preparation

1. Ensure surfaces are clean and free from water, oil, rust, and dirt.
2. If the surface is smooth, roughen it using sandpaper or a file.

Mixing

• Provided in two components under the ALCON WR-2 name:
  • Resin: 4 parts by volume (9 parts by weight).
  • Hardener: 1 part by volume (1 part by weight).
• Mix thoroughly until a uniform consistency is achieved.

Application

1. Spread the mixed epoxy evenly over both surfaces to be bonded.
2. Join the parts carefully and allow the epoxy to cure.

Curing Times

• Working Time: 45 minutes at 24°C.
• Functional Cure: Achieved in 24 hours at 16°C.
• Maximum Physical Properties: After curing for 2.5 hours at room temperature, heat at 93°C for 4 hours.

Warnings

• Store in a locked and secure location out of children’s reach.
• Avoid contact with skin.
• If contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
• Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water after contact.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing, gloves, and eye/face protection.
• In case of an accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.
• Avoid releasing into the environment.
