Epoxy Resin for Aluminum Repairs

This material is used for repairing all aluminum engine blocks, cracks, and fractured areas of machines, as well as completing and restoring machine components. It is also suitable for repairing shaft bearings and filling casting voids.

Application Method

Preparation of Adhesive Material

The surface must be cleaned of water, oil, rust, and dirt. If the surface is glossy, it should be roughened using sandpaper or files.

Application

ALCON F metal bond is provided in two components:

• 4 parts aluminum-colored resin (by volume, 9 parts by weight)
• 1 part white hardener (by volume, 1 part by weight)

Mix thoroughly, apply to both sides of the bonding parts, and carefully align them. Allow time for curing.

Curing

Curing takes 4–6 hours at a room temperature of 25–30°C. For accelerated curing, expose the bonded parts to flameless heating at 70–90°C; the desired result will be achieved within 2–3 hours.

Warnings

• Store under lock and key, out of reach of children.
• Avoid contact with skin.
• Rinse immediately with plenty of water if contact occurs and avoid contact with eyes.
• In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and water.
• Use appropriate protective clothing, gloves, and eye/face protection.
• In case of an accident or if you feel unwell, consult a doctor immediately.
• Avoid releasing into the environment.
