5-Minute Curing Steel-Filled Putty for Emergency Repairs

This steel-filled putty is ideal for general-purpose emergency repairs, curing in just 5 minutes.
It is suitable for filling, bonding, coating, and completing parts on all metal surfaces.

With a usable curing time of 1 hour, this product allows quick repair of casting voids, corrosion gaps, and broken metal materials in a short time.
Note: The mixture should be prepared only in amounts that can be used within 1–2 minutes to avoid waste.

Application Instructions

Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, free of water, oil, rust, and dirt. If the surface is shiny, roughen it with sandpaper or files.

Application

ALCON SF metal bond comes in two jars:

• 1 part black putty (1.7 parts by weight),
• 1 part white hardener (1 part by weight).

Mix thoroughly, apply to both sides of the surfaces to be bonded, and carefully join the parts. Allow the product to cure.

Curing Time

Cures within 5 minutes at room temperature (25–30°C).

Applications

This putty is suitable for:

• Filling, bonding, and coating metal surfaces.
• Completing missing parts.
• Quick repairs of casting voids, corrosion gaps, and broken metal pieces.

Warnings

• Store locked and out of children’s reach.
• Avoid skin contact.
• Rinse immediately with plenty of water in case of contact and avoid contact with eyes.
• Wash skin contact areas with soap and water.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing, gloves, and eye/face protection.
• Consult a doctor immediately in case of an accident or discomfort.
• Prevent release into the environment.
