ALCON ZINC SPRAY (MSDS)
ALCON ZINC SPRAY (TDS)
ALCON ® ZINC Spray
Provides ultra-long-lasting corrosion protection for metal parts requiring a medium-gray coating rich in permanent zinc. Ideal for components that cannot be galvanized through hot-dip processes.
Can also be used to repair the surface of damaged or restored galvanized components before welding or other mechanical operations.
Product Features
- 92% Zinc-Rich Dry Film Coating: Provides sacrificial cathodic protection to ferrous metals.
- Self-Healing Mechanism: Scratches are resealed through the formation of zinc oxides and carbonates.

Application Instructions
- For best results, apply to a clean, oil-free, and dry surface.
- Remove any remaining rust and scale using a wire brush or abrasive method.
- Avoid rust removers based on phosphoric acid, as they leave an electrically insulating film that disrupts galvanic protection.
- Clean the area to be treated with a residue-free solvent cleaner, ensuring the solvent fully evaporates before proceeding.
- Shake the can vigorously for 2 minutes after the mixing ball begins to rattle, and shake frequently during use.
- Hold the can upright and spray from a distance of 15-30 cm.
- Apply light, even coats.
- For best results, apply 2 light coats 15-20 minutes apart instead of a single heavy coat.
- Additional layers can be applied at 15-20 minute intervals.
- After use, clean the nozzle by inverting the can and spraying for 3-5 seconds until only propellant comes out.
- Touch Dry: 15 minutes at 20°C
- Fully Cured: Approximately 24 hours at 20°C
